Epic Games ประกาศปลดพนักงานออกกว่า 1,000 คน เนื่องจากยอดผู้เล่นเกม Fortnite ที่เป็นรายได้หลักของบริษัทเริ่มตกลง

Tim Sweeney ซีอีโอและผู้ก่อตั้ง Epic Games ยอมรับว่าจ้างพนักงานเกินตัวไปมาก เมื่อปริมาณการเล่นเกม Fortnite เริ่มลดลงมาตั้งแต่ปี 2025 บริษัทจึงจำเป็นต้องปลดพนักงานออก เพื่อประหยัดค่าใช้จ่าย

ตัวเกม Fortnite เองก็ประกาศปิดตัวบางโหมดย่อยด้วย ได้แก่ Rocket Racing, Ballistic, Festival Battle Stage
